WELCOME TO OUR 2010 SEASON!

Our plans are to accept around 80 members for the 2010 Season. This will be divided pretty evenly between smaller bags and larger bags. Returning members will have first choice of bag sizes. It takes a while to sort this out. For example, some members may want to change from a small bag to a larger bag or vice versa. This will get worked out between mid-May and mid-June, through individual conversations with Mike, who coordinates enrollment. It will be late June or early July, before we have much to share. It seems a bit ridiculous to talk about patience, but given the weather, that's about the only thing left to talk about - for the farmer and the folks who are aching for fresh veggies. We promise the first lettuce and spinach and that first zucchini will be worth the wait - even if it is mid-July, this year!

“I'd like to thank you and everyone involved in the Veggie Farm for making our meals soooo enjoyable for the past couple of months. With 3 small children, cooking can be challenging (let alone getting them to eat what you cook!), but here's what my 6 year old (Jake) said to my 3 year old (Josh) last night at dinner.

Josh: No fank-you Mom, I'll save it fer tomorrow.
Jake: But Josh, dese vegtables are organic! They'll make you grow big muscles!
Josh: Ohhh, well din, I'm gonna git big muscles!

With that, he ate every morsel on a well-packed plate until I thought his little belly would burst! Now, I ask you, what am I going to do without your veggies for the next 8 months?"
