Shallots

Millet and Shallot Pattie

(Galettes de Millet a Echalote)

Ingredients
6 small shallots or one large one
2 cups millet
1 Tbsp + 1 tsp butter
1 tsp savory
1 egg
4 Tbsp cooking oil
1 Tbsp millet flakes or toasted wheat germ


Directions

1. Cook millet in 1/2 liter salted water Cover 25 minutes. Cool.

2. In bowl mix very, very finely chopped shallot, egg, soft butter, savory and millet. Mix until pate consistency. If necessary add water.

3. Form 8 patties and sauté until golden.

4. Serve very warm as main dish with vegetable or salad.
