Cat Grass Flyer
…a little salad for the cat that has everything!
Why cat grass?
Even though cats are consummate carnivores, they do crave a bit of greenery now and again. Even wild cats nibble grass blades as a between mouse snack. Some experts suspect cats are attracted to the high-fiber and moisture content of grass. Others feel cat grass furnishes the balance of nutrients needed for good health.
Whatever its purpose, “grazing” seems to be a natural feline behaviour, so you should consider providing your cat with its own batch of grass. Your cat will then be able to satisfy its “green tooth” without munching on your potentially toxic houseplants or eating lawn grass that may be tainted with pesticides or fertilizers.
If your cat enjoys cat grass and is not a binger, we suggest that you have two containers, one for now and one for later, the same way that you serve a salad and keep some lettuce in the refrigerator. As one gets nibbled, set it aside, out of sight to grow again, while the cat snacks on his new salad tray.
If your cat has a tendency to binge on greenery and then throw up, put the cat grass down for only a few minutes at a time. Be sure to keep the pot out of view and out of reach when you’re not around.
Our cat grass is developed from organic oats, grown under indoor lighting here at the Organic Farm.
